Deeper Understanding of Classical Chinese Medicine and Clinical Application

TCMexplained-facebook group

Chinese Medicine is a system of medicine that aims to prevent or treat diseased state by maintaining or restoring balance. Chinese Medicine has been changing and evolving more than 23 centuries. Particularly, since the 1970s, Chinese Medicine has been molded into a more modern form of medicine, which is now called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), in efforts to conform with standardized model easily accepted by educational institutions in the West.

It is our goal to pursue the modern research on acupuncture and Chinese herbs, while not forgetting the ancient roots of Chinese Medicine. Classical medical texts, such as the Huang Di Nei Jing (Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic), the Nan Jing (Classic of Difficulties), the Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing (Divine Farmer’s Herbal Classic), and the Shang Han Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage), are the foundational sources that reflects genuine Chinese Medicine’s unique theory, profound philosophy, and precious clinical records of great Chinese Medicine doctors in the history. We believe study of medicine is a lifelong learning experience of knowing the past to understand the present and we strive to deliver the best of Chinese Medicine to serve our patients.

Integration of Traditional Chinese Herb with Modern Latte Culture

Health benefits of natural herbs are well known. In Chinese Medicine, rather than prescribing a single herb, different herbs are combined together in formulas based on the TCM diagnosis of patients to adjust imbalances. Many of the herbs are actually common spices we are familiar with, or fruits and ingredients that can be incorporated into daily cooking. When the right herbs are selected for the right conditions, we can achieve health benefits through a simple choice we make daily, such as a cup of natural herbal latte. In addition to the acupuncture treatment, we encourage patients to revitalize their lives by trying our custom-blended herbal latte.
